In Which I Can Stretch Out

Dubrovnik

In Dubrovnik.. and yet not in *Dubrovnik*.

I rode this morning from the campsite towards the old town, sure enough, but was distracted and lead astray by a sign directing me to the "Bikers Caffe". It was Poreć all over again:
   Bikers Caffe, Dubrovnik
   Number of Missing Apostrophes: One
   Number of Superfluous "F"s: One
   Number of Bikers: One (me)

*But* they have electricity, good coffee, and space for me to stretch out my maps and get cracking with updates to my blo-- I mean diary:

Some old bloke riding a Tomas 50cc scooter sat over a coffee for an hour or two. Then a Lithuanian turned up on a customised Harley: we worked out we may have sat in his country's first-ever rock'n'roll cafe at the same time.. two years ago. He moaned for a while about bikers who are so soft they sleep in campsites instead of in fields or under hedges; finished his espresso, dabbed his mouth with his napkin and set off for home.

A good day's work. All the same, for all I saw of this fabulous old city.. I could have been in a caffe [sic] in the middle of Norwich.
