In Which I'm All Shook Up

July 21, 2008 by Mike

Norwich

Hello.

Just interrupting my break back in the UK to point out that, at 15,561 days old, I am, today, exactly the same age that Elvis was when he died.

I've been wearing a panel shirt all day and curling my upper lip. My hair is greasy.

I ate deep-fried peanut butter n' banana sandwiches for lunch today and now understad why Elvis' body gave up.

I have done my best to avoid sitting on the loo.

Tomorrow, I shall be older than Elvis ever was. It's uncharted territory, and a little frightening without him to show me the way.

Whoo! Mike, it's been good to catch up on what you've been doing on your travels - and the rich vein of spleen you've been venting (or is that mining?). Some of those last entries had me in stitches, and the story about the forest fire was a corker. Hope it all carries on being awesomely wonderful, and that no-one treads on your blue suede shoes now you're going where the King never went....

Mike,
Back in the office today, how dull, having just returned from business in Elstree. Hopefully you remember my brother and I as the bikers you met in Venice (Matt dropped his bike pissed going back to the tent)
The remainder of our journey was great fun and we did exactly 3000 miles when returning to UK. I will keep an eye on your progress and wish you good luck on the remainder of your trip.
Top man!
Simon and Matt

You'd better get yourself a bullet-proof vest before you head back:
