A Bit Of Website Business

August 9, 2006 by Mike

A word or two on the site
as I can get online but not via the laptop, so my diary entries will have to wait:

First and foremost, thanks to Diego, Doctor Rakesh and Susan for all the work they've put in. Without whom etc etc...

We're still tweaking: in particular I haven't been able to access and update the map-making process that Raks cobbled together. I mean designed and built. (Hi Raks!)

My Internet access here has been sporadic so updates may appear here days after they were written. They are back-dated, so make sure you've read everything. (I will be asking you all questions when I get back...)

The grannies who supervise the Norwegian Library Service's internet access, through whose good graces I have been online, ban any site that looks like it could be remotely fruity. Like Google. Really. I can't see it. Or, sadly, Flickr, where my photos are hosted... so no picture updates over the last few days either. There are some nice ones to come.

I also can't access Hotmail so can't see or reply to email today. Wide-eyed stare.

And finally, I've cut the first video --- to and in Murmansk, but no James Bond --- which I'll upload when I can.

Any more thoughts or comments please comment below or email me...

Mikey, Mikey, Mikey!
First you get arrested by Stephen "tantrum" Duffy (who'da thunk the KGB got so fey), and then you drop your bike. Remember - YOU DO NOT ROCK, you have many wonderful qualities, but the ability to rock is not among them. Stick to the proper roads, dammit, and take proper care!

I have many thoughts, all of which won't help you in anyway what so ever ;-)

Bold up those locations. And rock if you wanna!

Happy touring, Mike. If you keep on that bike you may eventually reach me in the Southern Hemisphere in Eaglehawk Neck, Tasmania. More pics, please. Family can be so demanding.

Helloooooo :)
Been checking up on you regularly and am very impressed with your travels so far. Love the photos and video but unfortunately I dont have speakers on my computer at work but i've been lip reading as best as possible. The sights look great and it is good to actually see YOU as well. I like the beard :) Keep on having all that fun - I am very very jealous, it looks and sounds amazing!!!
